I'm a DevOps Engineer with over two years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure and automation pipelines. My passion lies in creating reliable, scalable systems that empower development teams to deliver high-quality software rapidly and consistently. I thrive on solving complex problems, streamlining workflows, and finding creative ways to bridge the gap between development and operations.
Over the course of my career, I have:
- Engineered robust AWS and GCP environments: I've provisioned and managed EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and other core services to ensure high availability and cost-efficiency.
- Embraced Infrastructure as Code with Terraform: I've authored modular Terraform configurations to automate the provisioning of networks, compute resources, and storage, enabling repeatable deployments across staging and production.
- Led containerization efforts using Docker and Kubernetes: I've built Docker images, designed and deployed Kubernetes clusters (including Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Ingress controllers), and used Helm charts to package and distribute complex applications. By configuring Horizontal Pod Autoscalers (HPA) and resource requests/limits, I ensured that workloads could scale dynamically in response to demand.
- Built and maintained CI/CD pipelines: I've implemented end-to-end pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI, integrating unit tests, linting, security scans, and automated deployments. These pipelines have reduced manual steps, minimized errors, and accelerated release cycles.
- Monitored systems with Prometheus and Grafana: I've set up Prometheus exporters, defined custom metrics, and created Grafana dashboards to visualize system health, application performance, and resource utilization. Proactive alerts and detailed instrumentation have helped teams detect and resolve issues before they impact users.
- Managed databases and networking: I've administered MySQL and PostgreSQL instances—tuning queries, optimizing indexes, and performing backups to ensure data integrity. I'm also well-versed in Linux networking fundamentals, having configured VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancers to maintain secure, performant architectures.
- Automated tasks with Python and Bash: I've written scripts to automate routine maintenance, configuration drift checks, log aggregation, and other operational tasks—freeing up time for more strategic work.
